This month, menswear designer John Varvatos launched his first Boston store in Copley Place, and the eleventh so-called "lifestyle concept" store in the U.S. The location will offer all three of Varvatos's lines, Collection, Star USA and Converse by John Varvatos. Currently in store: fall 2013 sportswear and suiting, like leather moto jackets, knit outerwear and suede shirt jackets, along with footwear, travel accessories and leather goods.
"Boston is one of the most important historical and cultural cities in America, and we are excited to be opening our first store there. The John Varvatos man is very much part of the stylish Boston scene,” Varvatos said in a press release about the new store.
While the clothes are certainly a great reason to check out the store, the space itself can also be considered a draw. The walls of the 200 square-foot shop are lined with unpublished rock and roll photography, mirrors are sourced from the south of France, and the cash-wrap is made of zinc.
