I love spring - warmer temperatures, flowers starting to bloom, and best of all, some great spring fashions!  At our first Simon Fashion Now of the season, I got so excited by what I was seeing on the runway and in the stores.  Nothing wakes the senses like a bold splash of color and that’s exactly what you’ll find in stores this spring.  From color-blocking and flirty florals to neon brights and Pantone’s color of the year, Tangerine Tango, I’ve listed a few of my favorite spring trends to keep your look fresh and fun.   I’ve also scouted out one of my favorite department stores, Macy’s, for well-done examples of adapting these trends.

Color Blocked:  Tops and dresses ruled the runways, and it’s one of the easiest styles to wear.  Look for color blocking in the same

family of hues, like reds and pinks, or choose contrasting colors like bright blue and yellow.

Flower Power:  Nothing says spring like a beautiful floral, and this season you’ll find them everywhere.  Whether your style is bright and splashy or soft and ethereal, a flowing floral skirt or dress is a must have for summer days & nights.

Neon Brights:  This trend is not for the faint of heart, but everyone can use a pop of color.  Brighten up your neutral classics with a neon belt, bag or shoes.  We’ve even seen neon nail polish, which is an inexpensive and fun way to try this trend.

Colored Denim:  Is a hot look that most of us can wear – and is easily affordable.  I especially love tangerine or hot pink hued jeans with a flirty top.

Jacque's Pick:  Joe's Jeans The Skinny Jeans, Skinny Colored Denim Coral Wash, $158, Macy’s – This pair has the perfect amount of stretch and structure needed for a skinny jean and looks great paired with nude shoes.

Remember, not every trend is for everyone.  Take a walk through the mall and see what appeals to you, and add it to your closet.  Then, wear it with confidence, and make this your most stylish spring ever!

Don’t forget --- Simon Fashion Now is coming to a mall near you!  See the latest looks on the runway, and then get them in the stores.  It’s a high energy weekend of style you won’t want to miss --- there are still shows happening for the month of April.
