Trend Alert: Printed pants have been making a big comeback. Which means it's either time to dig into the depths of your storage units, or time to update your wardrobe with some new printed bottoms (but let's be honest, the latter is infinitely more fun).
There's really only one rule to pulling off printed bottoms; the bolder, the better!
The following styles are ones that I have seen at my usual haunts at the Burlington Mall... but there are lots out there to choose from too!
Theory via Nordstrom, was $200, now $119.90
All I can say is... YES PLEASE. This print is the bees knees in my opinion. Paired with an orange or white tee in the summertime, or for transitioning into fall a navy cashmere turtleneck or a gray cozy sweater these pants are unstoppable. And they're on SALE!
I'm loving the classic look of these trousers. These pants say: "I'd rather be on my yacht", in a very fall appropriate way. They are very on-trend with the scarf print, and I love the piping detail, particularly around the ankle!
Trend muffin alert! The loose fit, tie waist, and cropped length on these make them super trendy. Keep the shoe basic with strappy black or solid colored heels like the model above. These are great pants for an office with a more relaxed or artsy dress code, or for going out!
Sparkle & Fade via Urban Outfitters, $49
If you're looking for the perfect fall floral pant (and isn't everybody?), look no farther. The beauty of these pants is that they lend themselves to a myriad of different looks; paired with a rose colored peplum top, they look girly, whereas paired with a black leather moto jacket, they will look edgy. Versatility like that must not be overlooked.
J. Crew, was $110, now $88
Well I just had to throw an animal print in the mix, and I have been pining for these snow leopard print pants ever since I saw them first appear on the J. Crew website (which might as well be my homepage mind you). And now that they're on sale, I really have no excuse to not introduce these to the rest of my wardrobe (and various other animal prints). Oh, and you should get them too, we could be #twinsies!
Ann Taylor, $78
Working chick chic! Subtle but fun, this "squiggle print" pair of bottoms is perfect for those desk to dinner (ok, happy hour) days. Ditch the briefcase and blazer and opt for a fun black clutch and shiny pumps and you'll be good to go!
Vince Camuto via Lord & Taylor, was $99 now $23.75
Steal of the century! These pants are perfect for right now, or those of you planning a trip to somewhere warm this coming fall/winter (lucky you). The tropical breezy feel keeps these slacks casual and fun. Pair with a white tee, a big funky necklace, either black flats or sandals, and drink that comes with an umbrella in it.
