Here are the top 5 trends for Fall (that you need to know!). My favorite looks straight from the runways of fashion weeks from New York to Milan to Paris! Read on for the best ways to take the cat walk to your closet with my picks for Fall planning - all found at the St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville, Florida!
Shades of Blue
If you remember my post on cobalt earlier this year, Mastering Cobalt for Spring/Summer!, and took a dive in the deep end of the gorgeous blue hue - you're in luck! Looks like my projection was correct and shades of blue are here to stay for Fall 2013! Valentino featured a lot of cobalt in his line, while Prada opted for a sky blue shade. Add to your true blue closet with this amazing Miranda Sleeveless Ponte and Silk Dress by BCBGMAXAZRIA. A super feminine silhouette in flashy royal blue, you'll stun with the breezy flow of this swingy skirt! I also LOVE the topline flow.. give classic necklines a break and invest in something different! For a lighter blue, I like Express' Tulip Back Tank in Cayman Blue - simple with a twist, this is a summer staple that will take you straight to fall with a contrasting blue cardigan.
All that shines and glitters graced the runway this past fashion week. Michael Kors sent down some stunning black and silver metallic dresses while Marc Jacobs and Mochino featured metallic prints in dark purples, greens, and blues. Coach has an amazing selction of fun and sophisticated metallic bags and clutches, I like the shape and size of the Poppy Flight Bag - it comes in both metallic pewter and rose gold. For a printed metallic, J. Crew has a great pencil skirt, the Petite No. 2 Pencil Skirt in green tinsel - the hue is amazing! Almost color shifting in the light - and its on sale right now!
Designers were loving 90s Seattle Grunge for Fall this year - but update from the classic tough girl look. Featuring lots of layers and flowy designs, grunge girl meets party girl in Saint Laurent's lines. While our very own BCBG Max Azria showed all black designs encased in flowy translucent black tulles, even seen on the likes of Ashley Benson in Pretty Little Liars! Modernize Urban Outfitter's BDG Hooded Denim Vest over a floral skirt or dress. Available for pre-order, shop BCBGMAXAZRIA's pre-fall 2013 line. You'll go crazy over the Runway Tabitha Top! One part bad girl and one part flower child, this is certainly the most unique top I've seen this season!
Keep it Square
Boxy bags were all over the scene! From Salvatore Ferragamo's lunchbox-esque designs to Derek Lam's camera bag inspired pieces, keep it square this fall! Fossil's Memoir Novel Flap bag is an understated yet classy square bag. It comes in black, camel, and leopard. A fun boxy bag that I can't get enough of is Anthropologie's Crystal Tort Clutch - with crystal detailing and an original tortoise print, its definitely a fall must have!
For Fall 2013, shoes are sporting some major chunk! Clunky designs, lug soles, and bold platforms clomped down the runway. Mochino featured a lot of black chunky heels with character. To channel this look, try Steve Madden's Upgrade in black multi, with a bold heel and stylized upper, you'll be rocking the new look in no time! Rag & Bone featured some upgraded menswear inspired shoes, for the look try Aldo's Ima. Its a cutie with its cuban heel and gold toe tip!
These are just some of the great Fashion Week inspiration to look out for this fall! Any styles you're really digging? Comment me!
